about

"Magnum Morte" means "great (or big) death" in Latin. Perhaps one can try to interpret the lyrics for him or herself in order to find out exactly why that is the case. It is the calmest song on the album overall, but its dark nature and its anticipatory instrumental buildup ensures that it doesn't lack energy by any measure. Enjoy this recording to its fullest because the song is very rarely performed live!

lyrics

Open
Up the vastness of your deadpan mind;
When I peer inside
There's everything I'd hope not to find

And how could anyone be so mean?
And how could anyone be so cruel?
I guess that I knew it from the start,
That you're nothing but a lucky fool

Forever
I am here;
There's nothing left for me to do,
And there's nothing left to fear

Wake up;
Where did you go when you died?
Hey man,
Try not to look so surprised

And how could anyone be so mean?
And how could anyone be so cruel?
I guess that I knew it from the start,
That you're nothing but a lucky fool

Forever
I am here;
There's nothing left for me to do
And there's nothing left to fear

Guns of the Seneca Raceland, Louisiana

Guns of the Seneca is an experimental, multi-genre trio formed in late 2007 by bassist Grant Olivier, guitarist David Plair, and drummer Britton Frost. "Guns of the Seneca" refers to mistpouffers -- mysterious booming noises heard over Lake Seneca, NY that are thought to be the guns and cannons of the lost soldiers of the Battle of Seneca Town during the Revolutionary War. ... more
